Songs can elicit emotion, there’s no doubt about that. Certain songs can make me laugh, cry, even get angry. And certain songs can help get me out of a funk, when I’m doubting everything about myself: who I am, where I am in life, my talent. For some people their go-to songs are going to be happy little pieces of music. Not me. If you know me at all it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that my go-to songs are a bit on the angsty side.
Today’s gloomy and the past few weeks have been a bit of a personal Hell, so these songs have been played plenty. I figured it was time to share them. And, hey, maybe they’ll be your go-to songs, also.
